What is Pacific HemFir?
Pacific HemFir is a high-strength, high-density, and easily pressure treated wood, making it ideal for most structural and industrial uses from framing lumber to heavy timbers to engineered components. A mix of two similar species, Western hemlock (Tsuga heterophylla) and Amabilis fir (Abies amabilis), Pacific HemFir is also sold sorted to take advantage of each species’ dominant characteristics.
